Teacher : Mrs. Schutz Hi! My name is Erin Schutz and I am so happy to be teaching at Little Blessings! I am a mom to two wonderful daughters who have both attended Little Blessings Christian Preschool and I am so excited to meet the children who will come to preschool this year! My girls loved learning and playing at preschool and I am looking forward to all of the fun busy-ness of learning to come starting in September. Before having children I earned my BEd and taught with Edmonton Public Schools in elementary classrooms. I stayed home when I had my daughters while also caring for other children, volunteering in my girls' school and enjoying this season of motherhood. As a family, my husband Mark, my girls, Quinn and Sadie, and I love to swim, camp and take care of our guinea pigs, Snoopy and Fifi. I also love to hike, listen to podcasts while I knit and try to grow things in my garden. I am so looking forward to the exciting year ahead where I know we will learn so much together.
Administrator: Allison Ross My name is Allison Ross. I am pleased to join the staff as Administrator, of Little Blessings Christian Preschool at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Ellerslie. My family became members of St. Paul’s after my daughter began preschool here in the 4 year old program. We felt so welcome in the church after attending a few Sunday’s that it became our regular church. I worked in the hospitality industry prior to starting a family, in both front desk and catering. My husband and I have been blessed with three wonderful children, our youngest two both have a chromosome disorder. After having my eldest son, I was fortunate to be a stay-at-home mom. After my daughter was born and we received her diagnosis, I have added many other duties to that role, but one of the most important is Advocate. Our favourite family activity is camping in our motorhome. I also enjoy reading, when time permits. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Educational Assistant: Mrs. D My name is Deb Foster. I grew up in Montreal Quebec and moved to Edmonton after getting married. I have three wonderful young adult children and two dogs. I graduated Champlain College with studies in childhood literature and child psychology. I’ve always had a great passion for working with children. I enjoy watching them discover the world around them, hearing them laugh and giggle with delight and seeing them take the simple pleasures in life and embracing every moment of it. I was a bilingual teacher for pre-K to high school, an assistant supervisor at an afterschool, I ran my own day home and presently work part-time at Phoenix Gymnastics Centre. I enjoy going for long walks with my dog, hiking, baking, reading and writing. My philosophy in life is that each individual has a special God given gift and talent they are born with. It just takes time to discover the gifts and talents, nurture them and share them with the world. I look forward to being a part of that journey in each little one I have the blessed opportunity to meet.
